Menemen Menemen is a dish of tomatoes, peppers and eggs cooked together in a pan, taking its name from Menemen district and known internationally under that name. It received its geographical indication registration in 2024.
Notably, this dish — known throughout Turkey — was registered specifically because its name matches the district it originates from.
