History
Bergama Grand Mosque was built in 1399 by Sultan Bayezid I ("Yıldırım," the Thunderbolt). It is the only imperial (sultan-commissioned) mosque still standing in İzmir province.
Architecture
The mosque is known for its three-domed structure and its single 38-meter minaret.
