History
Pergamon Acropolis was the capital of the Attalid dynasty between 281 and 133 BC. It was home to the second-largest library of its era.
UNESCO World Heritage
The acropolis was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2014. The Altar of Zeus and the Temple of Athena are among its most important structures.
