Red Basilica (Kızıl Avlu)

History

The Red Basilica was built in the 2nd century AD under Emperor Hadrian as a temple to Serapis and Isis. The structure, roughly 60 by 26 meters, was converted into a basilica in the 5th century.

Today

One of the building's towers is used as a mosque today.
