History
Mattheys Mansion, formerly known as the "Wood-Paterson House," was visited by Mustafa Kemal on 16 September 1922, when he came to see Hortense Wood.
Restoration
The mansion was restored by Arkas Holding between 2018 and 2023 and today houses a carpet collection.
