History
Paterson Mansion was built in 1859-60 by British merchant John Paterson. With 38 rooms, it is İzmir's largest Levantine mansion.
Recent History
The mansion was nationalized in 1978, suffered a fire in 1986, and was transferred to the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and restored in 2017.
