History
Nif Castle is a pentagonal fortress located at a peak of 1,506 meters. The Ottoman traveler Evliya Çelebi referred to it as "Hamalı Castle." The area shows traces of settlement from the 8th century BC to the 13th century AD.
Excavations
Archaeological excavations have been ongoing at the castle since 2006.
