History
Kadifekale was built by Lysimachus in the 3rd century BC as the acropolis of the ancient city of Smyrna. It sits atop Mount Pagos, at an elevation of 186 meters.
Restoration
The castle has 5 towers and was restored between 2015 and 2016.
