History
The House of the Virgin Mary is believed, in Catholic tradition, to be the place where the Virgin Mary spent her final years. It was discovered in 1881 based on the visions of German nun Anne Catherine Emmerich.
Pilgrimage Site
Although the Catholic Church has not issued a formal confirmation, the site draws both Christian and Muslim visitors, particularly around 15 August.
